Your drawings and data
Last updated: 29 October 2026
Engineers ask what happens to a floor plan once it is uploaded. This page answers that in plain words. The legal detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Where your files are kept
- Projects, cable schedules, drawn runs and results are stored in a database in London (DigitalOcean, London region).
- The floor plan PDFs you upload, your firm logo and the Excel and PDF files you export are kept in Cloudflare R2 file storage.
- Both are encrypted at rest. Every connection to FillSizer uses HTTPS.
- FillSizer has no AI features. Your drawings and schedules are not sent to any AI service, and there are no advertising or analytics trackers on the site.
Who can see them
Only people signed in to your organisation's FillSizer account can open your projects. The server checks every request against your organisation, so another firm using FillSizer cannot reach your drawings even if it guesses a link.
EDSN Ltd runs FillSizer and can reach the stored data to keep the service working and to help when you ask for support. The companies that host the service for us are listed in section 7 of the Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data.
Taking your data out
- Each project exports an Excel report and the marked-up PDF drawings.
- On the Account page, your firm's admin can use Download firm data to get one ZIP file with everything held for your organisation: projects, schedules, results, account records, the drawings and logo you uploaded and the files you exported. Every member can use Download my personal data to get the personal data we hold about them.
- Both downloads work on every plan, after a trial has ended and during the 30 days before an account deletion. Your own data is never held back for payment.
Deleting a drawing, a project or everything
- Deleting a floor deletes its drawings straight away.
- When you upload a new revision of a floor plan, FillSizer keeps the revision before it so you can compare the two on screen. The next upload deletes that older one.
- A project can be archived, which hides it but keeps its data. An archived project can be deleted from the Archived list on the Projects page. It then waits 30 days under Deleted, where you can restore it if you deleted it by mistake. After 30 days the project, its drawings and its exports are deleted for good.
- Delete my account on the Account page deletes your organisation, all its projects and every stored file after 30 days. Until then you can still download your data or cancel. The few short records kept after deletion are listed in section 6 of the Privacy Policy.
- The database provider keeps daily backups for 7 days, so deleted records are gone from every backup within a week.
